They were stuck in the baby stage. Not locking the way they should. Not thickening. Not dropping. She wasn’t thinking about her braid-outs. She wasn’t chasing curl definition. She just wanted her locs to become what she knew they could be. So she started using the Zoren repair oil, not even consistently, just when she remembered, just working it in.

Zoren: You came to Zoren wanting one specific thing, what was it?
Posi: I just wanted my locs to progress. They had been in the baby stage for a while and they weren’t moving forward the way I expected. They weren’t locking, they weren’t getting thicker, they weren’t dropping. That was all I was focused on. I wasn’t even thinking about anything else , just wanted to give my locs what they need to grow up.
Zoren: Were you using the oil consistently?
Honestly? No. I wasn’t being consistent about it. I used it when I remembered, worked it into my scalp and my locs when I thought about it. I wasn’t on any strict schedule. So what happened was genuinely a surprise , even to me. “I wasn’t even using it for my curls. I didn’t plan for this. It just happened.”
Zoren: Walk us through December 17th.
Posi: I had done a braid-out like I normally would. The most I had ever gotten from a braid-out was maybe 3 days before the curls dropped out. On day 6, I looked in the mirror and my curls were still there , defined, still holding. I remember thinking, this has never happened to me. I wasn’t even using the Zoren oil for my curls , I was just using it generally for my locs. The curl hold was completely unexpected. I had to tell someone so I sent the message.
Zoren: And then three months passed. What happened on March 20th?
Posi: had gone for a retie and I took photos after to send over. And Uyi said my hair had gotten fuller.bAt first I was like , is she just being kind? But then I actually looked at the photos properly,compared them to where I was, and I could see it. The locs that had felt stuck were no longer in the baby stage. They had weight. They had fullness. They were doing what I had originally hoped for when I started my journey. It took three months, and I wasn’t even being perfectly consistent, but it worked.
Zoren: What does this tell you about the product?
Posi: That it works even when you don’t. That’s the part that stays with me. I wasn’t doing everything right. I wasn’t disciplined about it. And I still got results I had never gotten before , results I wasn’t even looking for. Imagine what happens when you’re actually consistent. That’s what I keep thinking about.
